Yes. All American Academy teachers are certified through the state of Florida and are also certified in Exceptional Student Education. All teachers have a Bachelor’s degree. Many have Master’s degrees or higher.

American Academy has a maximum class size of 12 students in elementary with a teacher and full-time assistant in every classroom. There is a maximum of 14 students for upper school classes.

We are a college preparatory program for students with diagnosed ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and/or mild auditory processing disorder. Students also have opportunities to participate in award winning fine arts and athletic programs as well as joining interest clubs such as robotics, debate, chess, photography, or pre-professional societies.

All of our graduates are accepted to colleges/universities.

Yes. American Academy can accept Family Empowerment Scholarship (formally McKay scholarship) dollars associated with a matrix number. Dollars may be applied towards the cost of tuition.

Effective July 1, 2022, the McKay Scholarship Program will join the Family Empowerment Scholarship Program under the Unique Abilities category.
