Name: Lauren Kramer

Years at AHS: 8

Grade and Subject Taught: Director of Reading

Most Memorable Experience at AHS: Everyday is a memorable one. This school has the most incredible students and faculty. I wake up excited to come to work each and everyday.

Favorite Hobbies Outside of School: I love journaling. I try to write in my journal each day. I have been doing this since I am 10. I have kept all of my journals since I was young. I often look back at my journal entries to self reflect and to see how far I have come.

Any notable achievements outside of School: In March I created The Nursing Home Challenge. I then got on Facebook and told my friends about her “nursing home challenge” in which I encouraged them to have their children read books, sing, play music or share personal anecdotes via video chat and send it to seniors in nursing homes. The challenge went viral and is still happening in all 50 states. The message here is that we can stop looking at this as a negative. Let’s start thinking of all of the things that we can do to make people smile.
